Corvette Racing will be entering a Corvette C8.R into the 1000 Miles of Sebring round of the FIA World Endurance Championship in March.

This has been confirmed by the provisional entry list for the event, which was released earlier today. This means that Corvette will competing in both legs of the second edition of the Super Sebring event, as it is also fielding two cars into the 12 Hours of Sebring, the second round of the 2020 IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship.

Much like last year, the American manufacturer will field a single car into the WEC, taking up #63 in the GTE Pro class, competing against championship regulars Aston Martin, Ferrari and Porsche. Drivers are yet to be confirmed.

The Florida round of the WEC directly clashes with Formula E’s Sanya E-Prix, with Nyck de Vries (Racing Team Nederland) and Antonio Felix da Costa (JOTA) set to miss the race as a result of their Mercedes-Benz EQ and DS Techeetah commitments respectively.

Racing Team Nederland has subbed the returning Job van Uitert into the team as De Vries’ replacement. Van Uitert last raced with the Dutch outfit at the Silverstone season opener, when he guided the team to their first WEC pole position and a subsequent podium. JOTA is yet to announce a replacement for Antonio Felix da Costa.

A number of other drivers, including Sebastien Buemi and Brendon Hartley (Toyota Gazoo Racing), James Calado (AF Corse), Alex Lynn (Aston Martin Racing) also have commitments with Formula E outfits, but their names remain on the entry list with their respective teams.
