With 8 hours remaining in the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the #10 Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac DPi-VR leads after a strong night stint by Kamui Kobayashi.

The Japanese driver hunted down and passed the #5 Mustang Sampling Cadillac DPi-VR of Joao Barbosa to take the lead and open up a gap of nearly a minute, with Renger van der Zande now at the wheel.

Sebastien Bourdais has since taken over the wheel of the Mustang Sampling Cadillac, with Tristan Nunez third in the #77 Mazda RT24-P, making its was back up to the front after an earlier penalty.

In LMP2, PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports continues to lead with the #52 ORECA 07-Gibson now at the hands of Gabriel Aubry, despite a slight scare when the Frenchman slid onto the grass at turn one after locking out on cold tyres after a pitstop. The #52 has been trading first in class back and forth with the #81 Dragonspeed ORECA throughout the various pit stop cycles, with Colin Braun currently sitting in second place.

BMW and Porsche continue to battle for supremacy in GTLM. Mathieu Jaminet had taken the lead in the #912 Porsche 911 RSR-19 after passing the #24 BMW M8 GTE of Jesse Krohn after a pitstop, but Krohn retook the lead once Jaminet handed over to Vanthoor, with Krohn passing the Belgian on his out lap short near the 16-hour mark, but the two continue to battle into the night at Daytona International Speedway.

Nick Tandy sits in third in the #911 Porsche 911 RSR-19, slowing closing the gap to Vanthoor, with Antonio Garcia fourth in the #3 Corvette C8.R ahead of the Risi Competizione Ferrari 488 GTE in fifth. The #4 Corvette is yet to return to the track after an oil leak before the halfway mark.

Paul Miller Racing leads GTD, with Andrea Caldarelli up front in the #48 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo while one of their main rivals has lost significant time with a mechanical issue as the #9 Pfaff Porsche 911 GT3 R of Dennis Olsen was spotted going behind the wall due to a driveshaft issue.

Mirko Bortolotti sits second in the #88 Team WRT Speedstar Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo, with third in the hands of the #44 GRT Magnus Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo of Spencer Pumpelly.
