BMW #37 secured pole position for the 2026 Bol d’Or, EWC‘s fourth and final round, leading a BMW 1-2 ahead of the #76 machine, while three-time race winner Suzuki #12 settled for third.
BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team (#37) struck a major blow in the title fight by taking pole position for the 2026 Bol d’Or.
Chasing down points leader #1 YART Yamaha in the FIM EWC standings, the four-rider crew of Markus Reiterberger, Steven Odendaal, Michael van der Mark, and Jérémy Guarnoni set the pace at Circuit Paul Ricard. Van der Mark sparked the charge early on, breaking the all-time track record with a blistering 1:50.704 in Thursday’s Free Practice during his very first appearance at the venue.
Securing pole allowed the #37 BMW squad to pocket five vital bonus points before the 24-hour race even starts, while the #1 YART Yamaha bike will have to fight forward from seventh on the grid.
The #76 AutoRace Ube Racing Team BMW secured second to lock out a BMW 1-2 and collect four points. Three-time defending race winner Suzuki #12 bagged third and three points, ahead of BMW #6 in fourth (two points) and the #5 F.C.C TSR Honda France, which snapped up the final qualifying point in fifth.
Team Etoile gets Bol d’Or pole in Superstock class, High side ahead in Production
In the Superstock class, the #25 BMW of Team Etoile stormed to pole position, pocketing a maximum five bonus points ahead of the race.
Riding with Hikari Okubo, Motoharu Ito, Kaito Toba, and Rei Toshima, the squad held fourth in the championship standings, 22 points off the lead held by the #38 BMW, and has now fired the first salvo to shrink that gap.
High Side April Moto Louit took pole position in the Production class with #33 Kawasaki Adrian Parassol, Badreddine Benlekehal, Alex Sarrabayrouse, and Dylan Buisson.
