Alonso Lopez led from lights to flag as he broke his two-year winless streak by claiming Moto2 victory in Aragon.
Lopez remained largely unchallenged throughout the race and led every single lap as he recorded his first victory in the intermediate class since the 2024 Qatar Grand Prix.
Lopez held onto his advantage from pole position to take the lead at the first corner ahead of Izan Guevara and Daniel Holgado.
Collin Veijer also made a good start to the race and immediately challenged championship leader Manuel Gonzalez to take fourth place.
Veijer was able to break away from Gonzalez by setting the best lap of the race on Lap 4, while the Spaniard was left vulnerable to an attack from David Alonso which he ultimately saw off.
Meanwhile Veijer started to put pressure on Holgado for the final spot on the podium, attempting a move at Turn X before Holgado responded to remain in third.
Two laps later, Veijer struck and moved ahead of Holgado and into third, while behind Alonso overtook Gonzalez in a tight move for fifth.
Gonzalez was caught by surprise by Alonso’s move and lost a further position to team-mate Senna Agius, who had quietly progressed from 10th on the grid to sixth by Lap 10.
Alonso had the momentum and a few corners later passed team-mate Holgado to move into fourth, with the Colombian having the pace to challenge for the podium in the final laps.
Although team-mate Alonso had the iniative in the late stages, Holgado was struggling and was overtaken by Agius for fifth place.
With five laps remaining, Alonso used his extra pace and passed Veijer on the run down to Turn 1, with Gonzalez running wide in the background and dropping a further position to seventh behind Ivan Ortola.
Just moments after getting overtaken, Veijer crashed out at Turn 4 to end any potential hopes of a podium for the Dutch rider.
The top three were then able to get away from the rest of the field, with Alonso continuing to close on Guevara onto the final lap of the race.
Lopez, however, remained unchallenged at the front throughout the race and came home to take a first victory since 2024.
After an intense final lap battle, Guevara tucked back under Alonso at the final corner to keep hold of second place, with the Colombian rounding out the podium in third.
Agius took the flag in fourth as Ortola completed the top five after some impressive late race pace.
Gonzalez eventually got the better of Holgado to take sixth, while Deniz Oncu was a distant eighth place.
Alex Escrig was ninth ahead of the Italtrans pair, with Adrian Huertas completing the top 10 over team-mate Daniel Munoz.
Joe Roberts took the chequered flag in 12th, two tenths clear of 13th-placed Ayumu Sasaki while Celestino Vietti was 14th.
Barry Baltus rounded out the points finishers in 15th.
