Risi Competizione has confirmed that it will enter the 2020 Rolex 24 at Daytona with their #62 Ferrari 488 GTLM
The Houston-based squad will return will the trio of drivers that won the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans in GTE Pro and took a class win at last October's Petit Le Mans: James Calado, Alessandro Pier Guidi and Daniel Serra.
They will be joined by fellow Ferrari factory driver Davide Rigon. Calado and Serra will also perform driving duties at the Roar Before The 24 test in the first week of January.
When the team takes the start in January, it will be the 17th entry into the Florida endurance classic since 1998. Since then, the team has scored three class wins and four additional podiums, the last of which was a second place finish in the rain-shortened 2019 edition.
“We will once again return to Daytona for the 24-hour race and the early January testing,” said team owner Giuseppe Risi.
“This is always one of the most important races on the calendar so we will be there and ready to go against what is always a challenging field of competitors. We always race to win and after our victory at Petit Le Mans to close out this year, we want to start with a win all the more in 2020.”
