Brendon Hartley and Toyota Gazoo Racing have set the fastest time in the third and final practice session ahead of the Bapco 8 Hours of Bahrain.

Hartley set a time of 01:44:285 in the #8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid very early in the session to go quickest, a time that would not be topped by anyone. The #5 Team LNT Ginetta came closest to beating Toyota, setting a 01:44:389 to go 0.104s slower than the Toyota. The second Ginetta was third in class, but considerably further back with a time of 01:46:886.

Rebellion came fourth in a difficult session in which the #1 R13-Gibson spent a lot of time in the garage with a mechanical issues, while the #7 Toyota TS050 Hybrid brought up the rear in class.

United Autosports set the pace in LMP2 with a 01:45:970 at the hands of Phil Hanson, while the #37 Jackie Chan DC Racing ORECA 07-Gibson was second, less than two-tenths behind.

The #38 JOTA ORECA completed the top three, while Cool Racing came in fourth despite an early crash for Antonin Borga when the Swiss driver made contact with the barrier at turn 13.

Borga was not the only driver to have a spill, as several drivers seemed to struggle with the conditions on the partly wet Bahrain International Circuit. Team Project 1's Ben Keating had multiple spins in the #57 Porsche 911 RSR, while Roberto Lacorte spun the #47 Cetilar Racing Dallara P217-Gibson twice in the beginning of the session.

AF Corse' Davide Rigon led the way in GTE Pro, setting a time of 01:56:095 that would not be beaten by competitors. The #95 Aston Martin Vantage AMR was second, while the #51 Ferrari was third despite mechanical issues for James Calado at the end of the session.

Gulf Racing topped the timesheets in GTE Am. The #86 Porsche 911 RSR beat out the #77 Dempsey-Proton Porsche, while the #98 Aston Martin Vantage AMR completed the top three.
