Nicolo Bulega believes his dominant WorldSBK form has earned him a MotoGP opportunity in 2027.
Bulega has been dominating the 2026 WorldSBK championship, as he has won every race throughout the season.
His performances have not only transformed the title race, but also revived discussions about whether Ducati should hand him a MotoGP opportunity.
The chance to race in the premier class could appear for Bulega within the Ducati camp as a rider for the VR46 Racing Team.
Bulega joined Ducati’s production-based programme in 2022 through WorldSSP before stepping up to WorldSBK.
After giving up on his MotoGP dream, the 26-year-old could now be back on track to race in the premier class.
When speaking to GPOne, Bulega explained what it would mean if he were given the chance to race in MotoGP, “It would definitely be satisfying.
“Also, because it would mean taking on a rider who was a bit down at a certain point in his career and proving that, with the right resources, a person can be brought back to the top.
“I probably just needed the right people and the right bike to get back to the front.”

Nicolo Bulega believes he has ‘delivered the results’ to race in MotoGP
After the Italian dominated the opening stages of the 2026 WorldSBK season, and took 15 wins from 15 races.
Bulega himself believes he has done enough to secure a spot on the Grand Prix grid, as he has been the class of the field on a Superbike.
“I’m calm. I’ve won a lot of races in a row, I’ve taken every pole position from the end of last year through this year, so I think we’ve delivered the results,” Bulega explained.
“It’s clear that I have a great package and I’m making the most of it. When the results are there, you can go to bed with peace of mind.”
