Mikey Doble is setting his sights high at Brands Hatch Indy after his dream victory at the British Touring Car Championship opener at Donington.
The LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing driver took victory in Round 1 to claim the second victory of his career.
Talking exclusively with Motorsport Week, Doble praised the ‘mighty’ work of himself and his team.
“For the car’s debut at Donington to come away victorious in its first race was obviously a mighty, mighty achievement from the team and I,” he said.
“So, yeah, obviously we don’t want to get complacent and not keep moving forward with the same energy and the same pace.
“But it’s a good, really good start.”

Mikey Doble hoping for more strong tyre management at Brands Hatch
Doble managed his tyres well in the season opener, with his Audi A3 looking comparatively soft on tyres compared to those around him.
With Brands Hatch Indy looking to be a warm weekend, the Briton looks to his tyre management as a sign of things to come.
“I think one thing we did do well at Donington was to look after our tyres during the race,” Doble commented.
“We were quick at the end of the races compared to some of the other cars. The soft tyre naturally will degrade a little bit faster because there’s a bit more performance in it.
“So with this weekend and a lot of the tracks this season, the soft tyre is the prime tyre to use.
“So if that’s a sign of things to come for the rest of the year, that our car will be quick all the way through the race, then that can only be good.”
