It seems interest in the 2011 British Grand Prix has hit new heights after a fascinating 2010 season.

The circuit will feature a brand new grandstand opposite the new paddock and pits when the start/finish line relocates to the International Pits Straight (soon to be renamed).

Tickets for the 4,500 capacity stand have already sold-out along with many other seating areas around the Silverstone track.

Whilst many tickets still remain, the best areas are selling out very quickly.

“Interest in the British Grand Prix has been high, with tickets selling well,” said managing director, Richard Phillips.

“There are still plenty of tickets available, but some of the more popular grandstands have already sold out, including International Pits Straight and one or two sections in the Copse and Stowe grandstands.”

Other improvements will also be taking place to improve the fans’ experience and enjoyment at the blue ribbon event.

“The grandstands around that section [Arena] of the circuit are being elevated and re-positioned to offer prime views of the start/finish straight and pits, and fans have been quick to purchase their tickets in those areas.

“Changes to the circuit and moving the F1 Paddock have also given us an opportunity to rethink some of the viewing areas for General Admission ticket holders. For 2011, we will be opening up the inside of the Brooklands/Priory Complex, creating new spectator areas and getting fans much closer to the track,” he added.
