Racing Team Nederland has unveiled the livery for its new ORECA 07-Gibson with which it will compete in the 2019/20 FIA World Endurance Championship.

The Dutch outfit will be returning to the LMP2 class for its second full season in WEC. It made its debut in the 2018/19 Super Season, finishing sixth in the championship standings with a Dallara P217-Gibson.

The team has retained its driver line-up from last season, comprised of Frits van Eerd, Giedo van der Garde and Formula 2 star Nyck de Vries. Job van Uitert has been brought in as a substitute for two races, replacing De Vries at Silverstone and Van Eerd in Shanghai.

The team announced its decision to switch from Dallara to ORECA in May during its Le Mans launch event. Talking to Motorsport Week, ex Formula One driver Van der Garde explained why his team made the switch.

"Really looking forward to it because we have been with the Dallara for one year, and to be honest, I think we took the maximum out of the car, but there was nothing more in it," the Dutchman explained "We’ve been leading races, we were quick in qualifying sometimes, but every time we knew that we were four or five tenths short with the car.

"I think the team did a fantastic job, Nyck and Frits did a fantastic job, but in the end, but if you’re always those few tenths slower than your competitors, it’ll be hard."

The new car is still decked out in the traditional yellow and black colour scheme with which it has been running for the past two seasons, with noticeable branding from Dutch supermarket chain Jumbo, of which Van Eerd is the CEO.
