Marco Bezzecchi has reached an agreement with Aprilia to extend his contract until the end of the 2028 MotoGP season.

Bezzecchi and Aprilia are the first pairing to confirm their plans for the upcoming regulations cycle, with many high-profile names out of contract at the end of 2026.

The 27-year-old joined Aprilia in 2025 and has already become the most successful rider in the Noale-factory’s MotoGP history.

Across his debut campaign with the team, Bezzecchi scored three grand prix victories, 15 podiums and five pole positions as he clinched third place in the Riders’ Championship.

The success of the partnership even saw the Italian rider ‘propose’ to his RS-GP following victory in Valencia last season, which Aprilia made light of in the contract announcement with its wedding theme.

“I’m extremely happy to have renewed for another two years,” Bezzecchi said in a team statement.

“From the first day I signed, I had the goal in mind of building a long-term project. I’m happy to have found the support of the entire team and the whole Noale factory.

“I hope I’ll be able to give them a lot of joy, as they most certainly will with me.”

Massimo Rivola, CEO of Aprilia Racing, added: “We are obviously extremely satisfied, because the renewal was our priority.

“We wanted to celebrate the signing in a particularly fun way, which I believe goes perfectly well with Marco’s personality.

“We have built a path creating solid foundations, and the fact that Marco chose to stay with us, in spite of various other offers he received, gives us great pleasure and further highlights the work and spirit of this team.”
