The #7 Toyota TS050 Hybrid LMP1 and the #31 DragonSpeed LMP2 collided during qualifying practice for the 24 Hours of Le Mans on Wednesday, leading to heavy damage for both cars.
Roberto González, driving the #31, spun and attempted to rejoin the track ahead of the #7 Toyota, driven by Mike Conway, but mis-timed the manoeuvre, causing the pair to collide.
The Toyota sustained damage to the left-front, although it was light in comparison to the #31's damage, which was extensive and will require lengthy repairs.
The incident is under investigation and could see González heavily penalised.
