Former Panasonic Jaguar Racing driver Adam Carroll will replace Stefan Rzadzinski at TWR Techeetah for the Berlin round of the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY.

Carroll,  who raced for Jaguar in the British marque's maiden season in Formula E, failed to secure a drive in the all-electric single-seater series for Season 4 and has since remained absent from the grid.

The Northern Irishman has most recently competed in the GT Cup and Ferrari Challenge and will make a return to electric racing at the Flughafen Tempelhof Circuit this weekend.

Rzadzinski, who was named as TWR Techeetah's driver for the inaugural season of the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY, had a difficult start in the series, however, claimed a personal-best result in Paris, taking second place.

While the Canadian racer was present in the Formula E paddock, Rzadzinski will not take part in the eighth round of the season this weekend.

“I’m excited to be back in electric racing, having played a key role in the development of Jaguar’s Formula E car when they entered the series," said Carroll.

"It is an honour to drive for such an iconic team as TWR, and I can’t wait to show what I can do in the Jaguar I-PACE.”

TWR Techeetah Team Principal Keith Smout added: “Adam brings a wealth of experience to the team and we are looking forward to seeing what he can do in this highly competitive Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY Championship.

"We’d like to thank departing driver Stefan Rzadzinski for the role he played in delivering our first podiums in the series and wish him the very best for the future.”
