Beitske Visser claimed her maiden W Series victory on Saturday at Zolder as she seized the advantage at the start to go on to dominate the race.
Visser took control of the race after a messy and confusing start caused by the stranded car of Sarah Bovy, which failed at the end of the formation lap and should have resulted in a second formation lap, but the green flag was given and the race started.
Visser passed pole sitter Jamie Chadwick and led from there on, eventually winning with a commanding eight second lead despite multiple restarts.

The Safety Car was called on Lap 1 to clear Bovy's car and remained out for two laps. Chadwick attempted a move on the leader at the restart, but Visser defended well to retain her advantage. That was then followed by a second safety car as a result of contact between Esmee Hawkey, Gosia Rdest and Vivien Kesztheyli.
Visser kept the lead once more and remained there until the chequered flag.
Hockenheim winner Chadwick finished second, but had to defend hard from a chasing Alice Powell who passed her fellow British driver, before losing the place on the following and penultimate lap, with the pair eventually split by half a second as they crossed the line.
Marta Garcia was fourth, three seconds adrift of final podium placed Powell. Sarah Moore was fifth ahead of Tasmin Pepper and Fabienne Wohlwend.
