WRC Promoter, SafetyCulture and M-Sport Ford World Rally Team are supporting the return of WRC rising star Mārtiņš Sesks for the season finale in Saudia Arabia in what will be his seventh round of the season.
“I’m very grateful for the support and encouragement we’ve received from our sponsors and fans. We all believed the seventh round would go ahead, and now we’re heading to Jeddah to make the most of everything the WRC season can offer,” said Sesks. “With no opportunity for pre-event testing, we’ll need to adapt to the conditions and draw on the insights we gain from the shakedown,” said the Latvian who claimed sixth overall on Rally Sweden earlier this year.
Outside the WRC, Sesks returned to familiar territory, taking the win on Rally Poland in the FIA European Rally Championship in June. Sesks’ achievements on European gravel have marked him as one of the most exciting rising stars of 2024 and 2025, following memorable drives on his home event, Rally Latvia, and across the European stages.

Richard Millener, M-Sport Ford’s team principal said; “Mārtiņš has impressed us this season with his pace, maturity and approach to learning the Rally1 car. His results in Sweden, Estonia and Finland show he has real potential on loose-surface events, and Rally Saudi Arabia will be another opportunity for him to demonstrate that, especially as it is a new event for all. We’re delighted to have him back in the Puma for the season finale.”
Simon Larkin, WRC Promoter’s Senior Events Director, said: “Mārtiņš is one of the brightest young prospects in the WRC right now. His natural speed and attitude have stood out since his first Rally1 starts, and we’re proud to continue supporting his development at the top level. It’s also fitting that his next chapter comes as the championship welcomes Saudi Arabia – a new region, new challenge and another sign of the WRC’s global growth.”
Adding further significance to the event, 20-time FIA Middle East Rally Champion Nasser Al-Attiyah will also join M-Sport Ford’s line-up, bringing his vast experience to the WRC’s first visit to the Kingdom.
