Thierry Neuville has held on to the lead of Rally Argentina as Ott Tanak stopped on the penultimate stage of the day.

Neuville kept the lead throughout Saturday, while Tanak recovered from Friday afternoon’s driveshaft issue to be right on the Belgian’s tail until his problem.

Andreas Mikkelsen made it a Hyundai one-two after a solid day of stages, once again going fastest on the Fernet Branca spectator stage as well as on the long final test of Saturday.

Kris Meeke clings to the final podium position, less than two seconds ahead of reigning champion Sebastien Ogier.

Meeke struggled in the morning with fading brakes and a puncture while Ogier also had his fair share of troubles.

The Frenchman hit a gatepost after deliberating which way to go at a fork in the road which caused him to lose powersteering for the rest of the morning loop.

This dropped him down to sixth although he was quick to repass Dani Sordo and benefitted from Tanak failing to finish the afternoon.

Sordo is fifth going into Sunday, ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala who picked up a puncture on the Cuchilla Nevada stage.

Teemu Suninen is the last of the WRC runners in seventh after his M-Sport team-mate Elfyn Evans retired for the day, hitting a bolder and going over a drop.

Mads Ostberg is the lead WRC2 Pro competitor in eighth, while Tanak currently still holds ninth.

WRC2 leader Pedro Heller sits in 10th.

Esapekka Lappi was unable to restart after rolling his C3 on Friday afternoon.
