Mahindra Racing's Pascal Wehrlein and Jerome d'Ambrosio have been disqualified from qualifying for the Paris E-Prix, handing Nissan e.dams' Oliver Rowland pole position.
In qualifying for the eighth round of the season, Mahindra secured a strong result, with Wehrlein piloting his M5Electro to pole position while d'Ambrosio secured a place in Super Pole despite completing his initial qualifying run in Group One.
Post-qualifying scrutineering revealed that both Wehrlein and d'Ambrosio failed to respect Formula E's minimum tyre pressures, with this leading to the subsequent disqualification of the pair.
"The tyre pressure was measured twice after Qualifying and once after Super Pole and was between 1.48 and 1.56 bar instead of a minimum of 1.60 bar," read an FIA bulletin.
"Even under consideration of the outside temperature of the track and the time the car has been checked after arrival in the pit lane, the tyre pressure was not in compliance with the Michelin Pilot Sport Tyre working range from 25th April 2019."
As a result of the disqualification, Wehrlein and d'Ambrosio will start the Paris E-Prix from 21st and 22nd while Nissan's Rowland will start from pole position, with team-mate Sebastien Buemi starting alongside him on the front row of the grid.
The Paris E-Prix will take place at 16:00 local time later today.
