Nasser Saleh Al Attiyah is set to take his sixth victory at the Qatar Cross Country Rally, holding a 12.5 minute advantage going into the final day of the event.
Al Attiyah made it four consecutive stage wins across the rally in his Toyota Hilux, but allowed second-placed Yazeed Mohammed Al-Rajhi to take a stage win on Monday afternoon as he begins to cruise to the finish on his home event.
Al-Rajhi took the win by eight seconds in the only day of the event to contain two stages.
Reigning champion and last year's Qatar Cross Country Rally winner Jakub Przygonski remains very much still in the fight for second despite dropping five minutes after suffering three punctures and will start Tuesday three minutes adrift of Al-Rajhi.
