Former Formula E driver Salvador Duran will join the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY grid in Mexico City this weekend, driving the series' VIP car which is reserved for guest drivers.
Duran raced in Formula E in Season One and Season Two of the all-electric single seater series, driving for Aguri and the short-lived Trulli GP team at the start of the 2015/16 campaign, taking a best finish of sixth at the 2015 Moscow E-Prix.
"I’m excited to get behind the wheel of the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY car in front of the passionate Mexican fans," said Duran, who will race on the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez circuit this weekend.
"The series got off to a great start in Saudi Arabia and I’m looking forward to driving this electric racecar for the first time.
"Alice Powell did a great job at the first race so I’m hoping to put in a strong performance.
"It is great to see Jaguar at the forefront of electric vehicle technology and I can’t wait for Saturday’s race."
Duran's invitational spot in the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY will mark his first competitive outing since he left Formula E in 2016 after being replaced by Ma Qing Hua.
The 33-year-old has also raced in A1 GP and British Formula 3, as well as winning the 24 Hours of Daytona alongside Juan Pablo Montoya and Scott Pruett in 2007.
The second race of the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY's inaugural season will take place on February 16 at 14:00 local time (20:00 GMT).
