Ahead of the second round of the inaugural season of the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY, TWR Techeetah has launched its livery for the remainder of the 2018/19 campaign.

Inspired by the 1988 Le Mans-winning Jaguar XJR-9, the livery reflects and draws upon Tom Walkinshaw Racing's former success alongside Jaguar, with TWR building and running the British marque's '88 machine that won the World Sports Prototype Championship.

“We’re incredibly proud of our collaboration with TWR and this livery is synonymous with their engineering excellence and success across motorsport categories," said Keith Smout, Team Principal of TWR Techeetah.

"Together, we’re pushing to continue this history of winning into the all-electric era, as we push to become the inaugural champions of the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY.

“We know that there is a real affinity for retro liveries amongst fans, can’t wait to see the response that our cars get at this weekend’s race,” he added.

In the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY series' inaugural race, supporting the ABB FIA Formula E Championship's season-opening Ad Diriyah E-Prix, TWR Techeetah's Stefan Rzadzinski had a difficult debut, finishing in last place after picking up damage following contact with Caca Bueno when battling for fourth.

The fully-electric production car series' second race will take place on February 16, once again supporting Formula E, this time at the Mexico City E-Prix, with Simon Evans, brother of Mitch Evans, currently leading the Drivers' Championship after winning the first round of 10 races.
