The Hispania team were handed a $5,000 fine during Friday practice in Korea for letting Sakon Yamamoto leave his pit garage with a tyre warmer still attached.
The team breached articles 23.1(j), 30.7 and 30.9 of the sporting regulations after they entered the pit-lane to reteive the warmer.
The regulations state: “It is the responsibility of the competitor to release his car after a pitstop only when it is safe to do so.”
