Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler test and reserve driver Nico Mueller topped the morning session of Formula E's Marrakesh rookie test, heading DS Techeetah's Tatiana Calderon at the end of the three-hour session.

Mueller, who drove for the reigning champions at last season's running of the test which is reserved for drivers who have not yet raced in Formula E, set a best time of a 1m 17.532s while also completing the most mileage, lapping the Circuit International Automobile Moulay El Hassan 51 times.

DS Techeetah's Tatiana Calderon was Mueller's nearest challenger, with the Colombian driver trailing the DTM regular by 0.142s while Bruno Spengler closely followed in third, 0.073s behind Calderon for BMW i Andretti Motorsport.

James Rossiter set the fourth fastest time in the session, driving the second DS Techeetah car while Pietro Fittipaldi completed the top five for Jaguar Racing, 0.871s off the pace.
