Marc Marquez finished the final MotoGP practice session at Jerez at the top of the timesheets.

The Spaniard produced a quick lap of 1.36.677s to finish the session over two tenths clear of the field heading into qualifying.

KTM rider Maverick Vinales claimed second place and finished as Marquez’s closest threat, who produced his best lap time at the end of the session.

Fabio Quartararo maintained his strong pace to secure third place on the Yamaha, defeating two-time champion Francesco Bagnaia who suffered a late crash.

Jack Miller and Pramac produced an impressive fifth, setting lap times better than Gresini Ducatis Alex Marquez and VR46 Ducatis Fabio Di Giannantonio.

Marco Bezzecchi sandwiched himself between both VR46 Ducatis as Franco Morbidelli followed in ninth despite crashing himself.

Luca Marini rounded off the top ten after a difficult Friday, finishing ahead of factory KTM duo Brad Binder and Pedro Acosta.

Fermin Aldeguer finished 14th as full-time Honda rider Joan Mir finished in 13th and test rider Aleix Espargaro claimed 15th.

Johann Zarco finished a distant 16th as the Frenchman set a time that climbed himself above the Trackhouse duo of Ai Ogura and Raul Fernandez.

Augusto Fernandez ended his final practice session in 19th, ahead of Tech3 KTM rider Enea Bastainini and Alex Rins.

Once again Somkiat Chantra and Lorenzo Savadori finished in the final two places.
