Bruno Senna has been ruled out of this weekend's 6 Hours of Silverstone after fracturing his foot following a crash in first free practice for round three of the FIA World Endurance Championship.

The Brazilian was behind the wheel of his #1 Rebellion R13 Gibson when he came off at Copse early on in FP1. The crash forced a 30-minute red flag stoppage as the car, which sustained heavy front and rear damage, was recovered and repairs were made to the crash barriers.

Senna was able to climb out of his car unassisted, but the team later confirmed he suffered a fracture in his left foot and will therefore sit out the weekend.

His team-mates Andre Lotterer and Neel Jani are set to share driving duties for the remainder of the event.
