Marc Marquez led the Monday post-Czech Grand Prix test at Brno by 0.133 seconds from Johann Zarco, while Maverick Vinales was absent through injury.
All except the Nieto and Avintia Ducati teams remained at Brno for a day of testing, though Yamaha's Vinales and Honda test rider Stefan Bradl were also absent through minor injuries sustained in their collision in the opening lap of Sunday's Czech Grand Prix.
Ducati's Jorge Lorenzo led the session after the opening hour of running with a 1:55.609s, with teammate and Brno race winner Andrea Dovizioso taking over from him an hour later after going 0.092s quicker.
With just under three hours remaining, Marquez leaped up to the top of the oder with a lap of 1:55.573s, while Tech3 Yamaha rider Zarco slotted into second, a tenth adrift.
This stood until the final 90 minutes, when Honda teammate Dani Pedrosa usurped him with a 1:55.399s, with Dovizioso moving into third ahead of Zarco and Lorenzo.
The majority of the top riders remained tight-lipped on their plans for test following Sunday's race, though all did have a new front tyre from Michelin to test, which is an evolution of the one first tried at the post-Catalunya test in June.
Marquez returned to the top of the pile with a 1:55.209s in the final 40 minutes of the day, which Zarco put under threat with a late charge, though ultimately came up short with his best effort of 1:55.342s.
Pedrosa ended his day with an hour left on the clock following 52 laps of running, with Dovizioso heading Lorenzo, who tested the chassis his Ducati teammate has been racing since Assen, to round out the top five.
LCR Honda's Cal Crutchlow was sixth fastest on the third factory RC213V, with sole factory Yamaha runner Valentino Rossi two tenths further back in seventh.
Danilo Petrucci was a couple of hundredths back from his fellow Italian aboard his Pramac Ducati in eighth, as he, along with Dovizioso and Lorenzo, continued to evaluate the new aerodynamic fairing unveiled during the weekend.
Alex Rins [Suzuki] and Hafizh Syahrin [Tech3] completed the top 10, with Rins' stablemate Andrea Iannone and Aprilia's Aleix Espargaro close behind in 11th and 12th.
Pol Espargaro's broken collarbone suffered in a warm-up crash on Sunday, as well as the absense of the injured Mika Kallio, left Bradley Smith as the sole KTM representative on Monday, and was 13th fastest.
Pramac's Jack Miller only managed 13 laps due to an early technical issue, with the team unwilling to put any miles on his second bike having fitted it with a new engine for this weekend's Austrian Grand Prix.
Hiroshi Aoyama stepped in to fill Bradl's place at the HRC test team, and brought up the rear of the 20-rider field, with Suzuki tester Sylvain Guintoli replicating his Brno race finishing position of 19th.
