Top practice times were split between Ford, Corvette, and Porsche Friday at Lime Rock Park as Patrick Pilet topped the final session for the Northeast Grand Prix.

After Ford led the first session and Corvette the second, Pilet rounded out the day of practice with a fastest time of 50.414. Dirk Mueller continued a consistent pace in his Chip Ganassi Ford, coming up just behind Pilet in the timesheet.

BMW Team RLL picked up their pace with a P3 run from Jesse Krohn, ahead of both Corvettes and the second Ford of Richard Westbrook. The #67 Ford will have to pick up their pace heading into Saturday morning’s qualifying session, as the GT-only race will keep all eyes on the class’ championship battle this weekend.

Patrick Long topped the final practice session for GTD with a time of 51.754. The Wright Motorsports Porsche steadily climbed up the charts throughout the day: eighth fastest in first practice, fourth in second practice, and topping the final session.

Meyer Shank Racing rounded out the top three, with Lawson Aschenbach picking up the pace for a P2 run ahead of teammate Katherine Legge in P3. Paul Miller Racing returned to the track after missing the second session due to an engine change. Bryan Sellers was sixth fastest.

Despite holding quick pace in recent weeks, the 3GT Racing Lexus entries fell down the session charts throughout the day. They would end the final session P7 and P8.
