Renault e.dams aiming to end Formula E record on a high at New York City E-Prix

In a racing record that has spanned four seasons, Renault e.dams' time in Formula E draws to a close this weekend in New York and both Sebastien Buemi and Nico Prost are aiming to end the French marque's time in the series on a high.

Renault has been part of Formula E since the series' inception in 2014 and has enjoyed considerable success having claimed three Teams' Championships and one Drivers' Championship in addition to 14 wins and 10 further podium finishes.

As reigning champions, Renault e.dams has endured a difficult final campaign in the series before it switches its focus onto Formula 1 having failed to win a race so far in Season Four.

The team currently occupy sixth in the standings with a mere collection of 89 points, most of which have been scored by Season Two champion Buemi.

Looking ahead to this weekend's New York City E-Prix, Buemi is aiming for nothing less than victory as he aims to end the team's time in Formula E on a high:

“I’m thrilled to be in New York for this round that I missed last year. I will get a chance to discover this interesting layout located in a fantastic setting," he said.

"This weekend, a page turns with the final race for Renault and the last for Nico with the team. We will give it our all to finish in style.

"The goal is clear: we want to fight for the victory.”

While the New York City E-Prix marks the end of a chapter for Renault, it also marks the end of a chapter for Prost, who will not remain with the e.dams outfit for Season Five as Nissan replaces Renault as its partner.

Despite being out of contract at the end of this season, Prost is looking to emulate his former glories with the team and rekindle the outfit's winning formula of past seasons:

“I‘ve been with Renault since the beginning of their Formula E adventure. I have participated in every race alongside them and this weekend will bring an end to what has been four fantastic years," he said.

"Even though we wanted to have a better season this year, we have enjoyed tremendous success with three team’s titles, my three wins and three pole positions.

"Because we have won so much together I really want to finish on a high!”

While Renault has had a turbulent Season Four, customer team Techeetah has excelled in Formula E's present campaign and head to New York in contention to win both the Drivers' and Teams' Championships as the current leaders of both standings although they face a looming threat from DS Virgin Racing's Sam Bird and the resurgent Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler.
