The #7 Toyota TS050 Hybrid of Mike Conway, Jose Maria Lopez and Kamui Kobayashi currently leads the 24 Hours of Le Mans from the sister #8 car at the half way mark.

Conway led at the 11 hour mark when Sebastien Buemi in the #8 car was hit with a 60-second stop and go penalty for failing to slow sufficiently through a yellow zone, extending the gap to the lead to more than two minutes.

However with Lopez taking over from Conway and Alonso from Buemi, that gap has gradually reduced to stand at a little over a minute at the 12th hour.

Five laps down on the leaders is the #3 Rebellion R13 currently being driven by Mathias Beche followed by the second #1 Rebellion of Bruno Senna, a further lap down.

In seventh is the #11 SMP Racing BR1 of Vitaly Petrov, Jenson Button and Mikhail Aleshin which sits 22 laps down after problems in the opening stint.

In LMP2 the #26 G-Drive Racing Oreca 07 of Roman Rusinov, Jean-Eric Vergne and Andrea Pizzitola holds the lead a lap up on its nearest rival, the #36 Signatech Alpine Matmut car.

Porsche continues to have control over the GTE Pro and Am classes with the #92 car leading the #91 by just under two minutes, though the #68 Ford Chip Ganassi GT is just a further 42 seconds adrift.

The #77 Dempsey Proton Racing Porsche holds the GTE Am lead over the #85 Keating Motorsports Ferrari and has been steadily pulling away with each lap.

Only five cars have retired with three officially classed as such; #4 ByKolles (LMP1), #98 Aston Martin (GTE Am) and the #94 Porsche (GTE Pro).
