Haas’ Kevin Magnussen has been summoned to the Spanish Grand Prix stewards over an incident with Charles Leclerc in the first practice session.
Magnussen was running ahead of Leclerc on track and appeared to impede the Sauber driver through the final sector.
Leclerc then went to overtake Magnussen along the pit straight but the Haas driver moved to the right at the same time, forcing Leclerc to take evasive action.
Magnussen’s move prompted an irritated radio response from Leclerc, who commented “every time it’s him” and that Magnussen “needs to understand he’s not alone on track”.
Stewards will investigate Magnussen for “unnecessarily impeding car 16 [Leclerc] and [making] a potential dangerous manoeuvre.”
Magnussen placed 11th in the session, with Leclerc in 12th, as Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas led the way.
