Reigning Formula E champion Lucas di Grassi set the pace in a closely contested final practice session ahead of qualifying for the Paris ePrix for Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler.

Di Grassi set a best lap time of a 1m 00.881s using 200kW of power, setting a new lap record in the process around the 1.92km Circuit des Invalides in the French capital. Current championship leader Jean-Eric Vergne was di Grassi's nearest challenger for Techeetah, 0.191s adrift in second fastest.

Jaguar Racing's Mitch Evans continued to display his strong showing of pace from FP1 to set the third fastest time of final practice, with the New Zealander completing the top three in the session, 0.210s off the pace.

Mahindra Racing's Felix Rosenqvist finished in fourth fastest after having a number of close calls with the barrier in FP2 while Daniel Abt was fifth fastest in the second Audi, 0.306s adrift of his team-mate.

Oliver Turvey was sixth fastest for NIO and was followed by FP1's fastest man Sam Bird who was the lead DS Virgin Racing driver with Alex Lynn finishing down in 11th.

After crashing out of FP1, Nelson Piquet Jr's struggles on the streets of Paris continued into FP2, with the former series champion causing a red flag for the second time in two sessions by crashing his Jaguar car, leaving the team with a heavy rebuild ahead of qualifying and the race, with all of Formula E's action taking place over the course of one day. He finished the session in eighth fastest.

Season Two champion Sebastien Buemi set the ninth fastest time for Renault e.dams, 0.634s off the pace while Andre Lotterer completed the top 10 in the second Techeetah after overdriving his car throughout the session which meant that he struggled to string a clean 'lockup free' lap together.
