Elliott Skeer put the #120 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3R top of second practice for the IMSA Sportscar Championship race at VIRginia International Raceway, setting a 1:43.570 to go quickest.
Skeer, in the GTD-entered car, was quickest of all. Next up was the GTD Pro car of Heart of Racing, the #23 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo of Alex Riberas, just eight thousandths of a second off Skeer.
Third, and second in GTD, was Loris Spinelli in the #78 Forte Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3, 0.112 off Skeer.
Second in GTD Pro, fourth overall, was Jack Hawksworth in the #14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3, while third in the class went to Tommy Milner, onboard the #3 Corvette Z06 GT3.R, run by Pratt Miller.
Third in GTD, ninth overall, was Kenton Koch in the #32 Korthoff/Preston Motorsports Corvette Z06 GT3.R.
The session ran cleanly, with just some minor off track incidents, one for Brendan Iribe in the #70 Inception McLaren, and Russell Ward lightly damaging his #57 Winward Mecerdes as he made light contact with the barrier.
Qualifying begins at 9:50pm UK time, 4:50pm local.
