The Monaco Grand Prix will see the return of grid girls according to the Automobile Club de Monaco, which organises the blue ribbon event.
Liberty Media announced grid girls would no longer be a part of the sport as the practice was seen as outdated. They have been replaced by a new initiative called 'Grid Kids', which sees young racers assigned to each driver on the grid.
However with the Monaco grid controlled by the organiser, rather than Formula 1, Automobile Club de Monaco president Michel Boeri says they will still have grid girls, although they won't be in an official capacity and will therefore not hold the traditional grid boards bearing the driver's name.
"They [Liberty Media] have heard our arguments [against banning grid girls]," Boeri told Nice-Matin.
"The girls will be there [but] without a sign. They are pretty and the cameras will continue to show close-ups of them."
Boeri was also outspoken against the Halo head protection device, saying it risks "disfiguring" the sport.
"I wouldn't have put anything there at all," he added. "In a sport as difficult as Formula 1, we cannot secure everything at the risk of distorting and disfiguring this sport."
This year's Monaco Grand Prix is set to take place on May 27 as the sixth round of the campaign.
