Jenson Button will compete for Team Kunimitsu in Super GT, Honda has announced, while the Briton will also make his debut at the Le Mans Classic this year.
Button, following an outing at last season’s Suzuka 1000km, confirmed before Christmas that he would compete with Honda full-time in Super GT in 2018.
On Thursday, Honda confirmed that he will partner 2013 Super Formula champion and multiple Super GT race winner Naoki Yamamoto at Kunimitsu.
It was also revealed on Thursday that the 2009 F1 champion will make an appearance at July’s Le Mans Classic.
Button is set to pilot the iconic Jaguar XJR-9 at the event, the prototype which claimed victory at the 24-hour race in 1988.
