Ferrari-backed Callum Ilott will move into the GP3 Series with ART Grand Prix in 2018.
Ilott, 19, joined Ferrari's academy in October and linked up with ART during post-season testing at the Yas Marina Circuit last week.
ART has guided Esteban Ocon, Charles Leclerc and George Russell to the last three titles in the category.
"ART is a very professional team with a proven track record in GP3 and I am hugely excited to start working with them,” said Ilott.
“To be selected by ART for one of its much coveted seats is a real privilege.
"I am really looking forward to a new car, new tracks and new challenges and showing ART what I can do."
Added Sébastien Philippe, president of ART: "He showed during his young career that he has a very interesting potential. We have no doubt at all that he has all the assets needed to fight for the title in 2018."
Ilott finished fourth in the 2017 Formula 3 standings with six wins.
