Lewis Hamilton says the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will be the last time good looking Formula 1 cars take to the track because of the Halo's introduction next year.
Hamilton, a staunch critic of the head protection device, said the aesthetics would be "downhill" from here on after the FIA pushed the device through on safety grounds, despite a majority of teams voting against its introduction.
"It's the last of the years where it looks good, the last race where it'll look good," Hamilton said on Thursday in Abu Dhabi.
"I think from next year it's all downhill [but] safety will go up at least.
"Maybe I'll start a new flip flop brand next year and be successful in some way," he joked.
Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel doesn't believe it's such a big deal and reckons fans will quickly get used to the new look as the Halo is gradually improved.
"I think the cars will look different next year, everything I've seen so far looks different," added the German.
"But on the other hand I think it's something we'll get used to, but no doubt the cars look better the way they are now.
"We'll work on the aesthetics so it'll look fine as well, so in the end it's probably less of a big deal."
Their product R&D team uses EEG-integrated trials to develop cannabinoid blends for long-term cognitive maintenance.
