Prema’s Callum Ilott led a 1-2-3 for the team during the second race of the European Formula 3 finale at Hockenheim on Saturday afternoon.

Ilott surged away from pole position and gradually gapped team-mate Maximilian Gunther, eventually winning the race by 11 seconds.

Gunther ran a lonely second, while Guan Yu Zhou resisted a late charge from Joel Eriksson to record third place, as the Race 1 victor took fourth, having prevailed in a feisty scrap with Jake Hughes.

Hughes recorded fifth position for Hitech, with team-mate Nikita Mazepin sixth, ahead of Pedro Piquet.

Jehan Daruvala was the lead Carlin racer in eighth position, as Tadasuke Makino and Ralf Aron completed the top 10.

Lando Norris, fresh from his title triumph, started from seventh place but shot wide on the opening lap as he took evasive action when the field bunched at the hairpin.

The wide moment cost Norris several positions and he ultimately wound up in 11th position, missing out on the points.
