Sebastien Buemi set the pace on the second day of Formula E pre-season testing for Renault e.dams.

The season two champion topped both the morning and afternoon session, setting a best time of a 1:21.890, three seconds slower than the times set on the opening day of testing through the addition of a second makeshit chicane on the start/finish straight of the Ricardo Tormo Circuit.

Throughout the day, Buemi's advantage over the rest of the field was was slim, with Felix Rosenqvist and Sam Bird both being within one tenth of a second of the driver's time in the morning session

In the afternoon, Lucas di Grassi was one of few drivers that managed to improve, but was still 0.158 seconds adrift for Audi. This slotted the reigning champion in sixth fastest overall, trailing NIO's Oliver Turvey and Renault's Nico Post who were fourth and fifth.

Venturi Formula E's struggles continued in the second day of testing, with James Rossiter being the victim of a collision in the makeshift chicane section of the circuit, thus leaving him without an accurate representation of qualifying pace having also crashed on the opening day of testing.

Maro Engel will take over from Rossiter on Thursday at Venturi where he will partner Edoardo Mortara for the third and final day of pre-season testing in Valencia.
