Jake Hughes claimed his maiden European Formula 3 victory after leading a British 1-2-3 during the second race of the weekend at the Nürburgring.
Hitech driver Hughes led away from pole position and established a three-second buffer over Lando Norris mid-distance, only for the McLaren-backed youngster to close in across the final laps.
Hughes, though, held firm up front and kept Norris at bay to register his first win in the category by half a second.
Callum Ilott, having been overhauled by Norris on the second lap, dropped away from the lead pair, but had enough in hand over the chasing pack to take third spot.
Tadasuke Makino continued his encouraging form by collecting fourth position, ahead of Ralf Aron and Ferdinand Habsburg.
Joey Mawson and Harrison Newey took seventh and eighth while Joel Eriksson lost further ground in the title race after a low-key run to ninth, as Jehan Daruvala rounded out the top 10.
Maximilian Gunther slipped 54 points behind Norris as he finished only 12th, having started 15th on the grid amid one-lap struggles on Saturday.
