G-Drive Racing has confirmed former Williams F1 development driver Alex Lynn as part of its 2017 World Endurance Championship lineup.

The 23-year-old will make his full-season debut in 2017, having made sporadic appearances in the LMP2 category last season with Manor.

Lynn is set to share the #26 ORECA 07-Gibson with Roman Rusinov and Pierre Thiriet at all nine rounds of the championship, including Le Mans.

He tested the car at Aragon last week as part of a collecive session for Dunlop customers, which eventually led to the full-time seat.

Lynn competed in the final three races of the WEC last year with Manor, alongside a race-winning season in GP2 with DAMS.

The former GP3 and European F3 race winner is now looking beyond single seaters to further his career, with a Nurburgring 24 Hours drive already booked for the summer and three more IMSA races (including this weekend's 12 Hours of Sebring) with Wayne Taylor Racing to look forward to.

G-Drive Racing has radically altered its driver lineup for 2017 following a switch from Jota Sport to TDS Racing over the winter.

Silver-rated Thiriet, who won the European Le Mans Series title in 2012 with TDS, joins forces with Rusinov who is at the helm of G-Drive Racing's operations.

With Jota Sport running the car, Rusinov and G-Drive Racing finished third in the WEC LMP2 standings last year.
