Formula Renault 2.0 driver Julien Falchero will race for Campos Racing in GP3 in 2017.
The Frenchman competed in Formula Renault 2.0 last year for R-ace GP, finishing 13th in the final standings.
More recently, he was part of Campos' post-season testing programme at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.
In a press release, he said “This new challenge in GP3 Series with Campos Racing is an extraordinary opportunity.
"The tests in Abu Dhabi and the integration within the team in Valencia in Spain are a real treat for me.
"I’m going to prepare for the season, and I have a great former F1 driver – Jean-Pierre Jarier – as a coach."
Team boss Adrián Campos spoke highly of his new signing, saying “I'm very happy to welcome Julien to our team. We really worked well together in Abu Dhabi and we were impressed by his maturity. I'm sure we can have a good season.”
Falchero's team mates are yet to be decided.
