Red Bull confirms switch to ExxonMobil for 2017 season

Red Bull has confirmed that it will switch from current fuel and lubricants supplier Total to ExxonMobil for the 2017 season.

ExxonMobil, mainly through its Mobil 1 brand, has been a long-time McLaren partner, but it's believed Red Bull's deal with the American oil giant will see McLaren switch suppliers, possibly to BP/Castrol.

Red Bull will continue to use Renault's power units – rebranded as Tag Heuer – but the deal will see them dump Renault's preferred fuel and lubricants partner Total, which has worked with Red Bull for a number of seasons.

"Mobil 1 and Red Bull Racing are two global brands that share a passion for racing, performance and innovation," said team boss Christian Horner.
