Emil Bernstorff will make his GP2 Series debut at the 2016 season finale in Abu Dhabi next weekend, joining Arden International for the round at Yas Marina.
Bernstorff, 23, spent the 2014 and 2015 seasons racing in GP3, finishing his sophomore year fourth in the championship for Arden with two wins to his name.
The Briton will now make the step up to GP2 for Abu Dhabi, having previously tested for Arden at Yas Marina at the end of 2015.
"First of all I would like to thank Arden for this opportunity," Bernstorff said.
"It will be a steep learning curve but I'm really looking forward to the challenge and to working with the team again."
"We are pleased to give Emil the opportunity to race with us at the final race weekend at Abu Dhabi, and are confident that he will equip himself well, in spite of the fact that he has had limited track time in a GP2 car," Arden's Gary Horner added.
Bernstorff will replace Jimmy Eriksson for the weekend, partnering Nabil Jeffri.
