Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen have promised not to change their approach this weekend in Brazil or in the final race of the season, despite their actions potentially impacting the championship outcome.
Nico Rosberg heads into the weekend capable of taking his first title if he wins the race, but Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton can keep the championship alive until the final race if he wins.
When asked if they would drive differently around Rosberg and Hamilton so as to avoid any championship drama, Ricciardo and Verstappen both said they'd race as they always do.
"Honestly, no. The championship will work out how it should work out," said the Australian. "I don't think we should assist in the outcome. Just because they're fighting doesn't mean we shouldn't try and overtake.
"I'll always race with respect, but sure I'll race hard. If we're fighting with them, it means there's a chance to probably win the race, so if there's an opportunity for sure I'll go for it.
"The winner will be the winner and we shouldn't affect it by staying out of the fight."
Verstappen added: "Imagine you tell your team that you're going to stay out of the fight and cruise behind them. They wouldn't be happy.
"You always treat it with respect, you never try to hit each other, [but I'll keep] the same approach."
Rosberg, who has yet to win a championship, said he doesn't expect anyone to take a different approach.
"You're not going to take it easy because one guy is fighting for the championship," he said. "He's a competitior like everyone else, it's completely normal to approach it in that way."
