Trident driver Artur Janosz has been handed a grid penalty for the second GP3 race of the Malaysian Grand Prix weekend.
Janosz collided with Jake Hughes’ DAMS car on the opening lap of race one on Saturday morning, taking both drivers out of the race.
The stewards looked into the incident and have now given Janosz a three-place grid penalty for Sunday’s second GP3 race.
However, because he did not finish the race and will start from the back of the grid anyway, he will start the race from the Sepang International Circuit pitlane.
Race one in Malaysia was won by ART Grand Prix’s Alexander Albon, beating Jack Aitken and Charles Leclerc.
