Bruno Senna remains relaxed about his current racing prospects despite lacking a seat for the third Formula E season, but hopes to continue in the all-electric series.

Senna has raced in Formula E from its inception in 2014 with Mahindra, but is not set to return to the Indian team for season three, beginning on October 9 in Hong Kong.

During a Facebook Live Q&A, Senna admitted he is not sure of his plans for season three yet, but is relaxed about his future.

“I don’t know. The answer is we don’t know yet," Senna said.

"I’m pretty relaxed at the moment. I have good racing programmes going on for next year.

"I hope I can continue in Formula E next year, but if I don’t do it next year, there’s nothing stopping me coming back the year after. So let’s wait and see."

Senna has dovetailed his Formula E commitments with a drive in the FIA World Endurance Championship with RGR Sport by Morand in 2016, and is keen to take on more duties in sportscars, having made a one-off appearance for McLaren in the 24 Hours of Spa over the summer.

"Well I am already organising to drive for McLaren next season," Senna confirmed.

"I’ll do more races for them. This year I’ve only done the 24 Hours of Spa.

"This year LMP2 is going really well for us, we’re doing the World Endurance Championship and we’re second in the championship, so we’re fighting for the championship until the end, and the plan is to continue with that as well.

"There are plans to race in the US as well with the prototypes, so racing is going very well and so far the plans are that.

"We’ll see what happens with Formula E."
