Lewis Hamilton claimed a sensational victory in a dramatic Austrian Grand Prix, as a last lap overtake on team-mate Nico Rosberg handed the Mercedes driver the lead.
Rosberg would go on to finish only fourth after the pair made contact during the fight for the lead, damaging his front-wing which caused him to drop down the order, allowing Red Bull's Max Verstappen and Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen to pass before the checkered flag.
Hamilton found himself behind Rosberg due to differing strategies which played out in the German's favour, putting the two in a fight for the lead in the closing laps.
Come the final lap, Hamilton found himself right on Rosberg's tail and attempted a pass at Turn 2, but a brake issue for Rosberg saw him make contact with Hamilton's car, forcing the Briton off track.
However with a damaged front-wing, Rosberg had to slow, allowing Hamilton to take the lead.
Daniel Ricciardo finished fifth ahead of Jenson Button. The McLaren driver had been P2 at the start of the race after passing Nico Hulkenberg, but couldn't hold on as quicker cars sailed by.
Haas' Romain Grosjean returned to the points in seventh with Carlos Sainz and Valtteri Bottas eight and ninth.
Manor's Pascal Wehrlein secured his first championship point in tenth. The German had a shaky start after missing his grid position, forcing him to reverse back, but it went unpunished.
Sebastian Vettel suffered a dramatic tyre failure on the start/finish straight, ending his race and causing a Safety Car as tyre debris littered the circuit.
