With just a week to go before the Formula 1 paddock returns to Zandvoort and the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix, we have a rather busy issue, so much for a break for our staff…
First up we have Kyle Francis’ report on the Austrian MotoGP held at the Red Bull Ring and to say the least, I was interesting. Brad Binder tried hard but Francesco Bagnaia was having none it as he powered to yet another Ducati victory.
Just a couple of hundred kilometres north, Barum Czech Rally Zlin, the seventh round of this year’s FIA European Rally Championship was being held. With the 2023 ERC title on the line for Haydon Paddon, could he finally wrap it up? David Ledbitter has the full story. Then just across the border in Germany, the Lausitzring to be precise, it was time for the next round of the DTM Series. Phil Oakley and his team bring you reports on both races.
This week we welcome a new Editor in the form of Taylor Powling. This week Taylor looks ahead at next weekend’s continuation of Max Verstappen’s seemingly unstoppable march to a third Drivers’ title in a row while Kevin Dejewski wonders whether Alex Palou’s legal deja vu is something that may hurt the Spaniard’s career. Finally Taylor Powling suggests that it may all be down to Williams driver Logan Sargeant whether or not Mick Schumacher races in Formula 1 next year.
