FP3: Hamilton masters wet conditions to go quickest

Lewis Hamilton dominated final practice for the United States Grand Prix. He mastered the wet conditions to put his Mercedes ahead of the Ferraris and his own team-mate.

The drenched session could set the starting grid for Sunday’s race if qualifying is unable to be held either later this afternoon or on Sunday morning due to the forecast conditions.

That would see Hamilton starting in pole ahead of his championship rivals.

Sebastian Vettel was second fastest ahead of the Force India’s Nico Hulkenberg and the Williams of Valtteri Bottas, over a second adrift of Hamilton.
