Toyota claimed a 1-2 for the second session on the bounce in the 1000M of Sebring, with Ferrari once again making it into the top three.

Once again it was the #7 entry that led the charge. Kamui Kobayashi set the fastest time of the session clocking a time of 1:45.783 around the Sebring circuit, in a blisteringly fast qualifying simulation. The sister car piloted by Brendon Hartley was six-tenths off the pace of Kobayashi.

Antonio Fuoco snuck in just under a second off the lead lap to take his #50 Ferarri AF Corse to third in the session. The sister #51 entry ended the session seventh with a 1:48.425.

Alex Lynn brought his #2 Cadillac back in fourth with a best time of 1:47.155.

The Porsche Penske entries finished the session in sixth and eighth with Michael Christensen in the #5 beating out the #6 sister car.

Meanwhile, the two Peugeout entries ended the practice session in fifth and ninth, the #93 being fastest thanks to Mikkel Jensen.

Another difficult session for the #708 Glickenhaus saw them finish the session 19th overall while the #4 Floyd Vanwall Racing didn’t run at all after stopping on track at the start of the session, causing a full course yellow to recover the stricken car.

In LMP2, JOTA topped the time thanks to Pietro Fittipaldi’s efforts behind the wheel with the sister car coming third. It was Phillip Hanson in the #22 United Autosports entry that split the JOTA cars just four hundredths faster than the #48.

In GTE, #98 Northwest AMR set the pace in class with Nicki Thiim in the cockpit. The top five in the session were all within a tenth of one another, with the #86 GR Racing and #57 Kessel Racing sneaking into the top three.

Qualifying for the 1000M of Sebring begins at 18:30 pm local time.
