The FIA World Endurance Championship has set the Hypercar balance of performance levels for the first four races of the season, including the opening round at Sebring in just over a week’s time, and for Le Mans in June.

The Toyota GR010 will be the heaviest Hypercar at Sebring, weighing in at 1060kg. This is 30kg heavier than the lightest cars, the non-hybrid Glickenhaus 007 LMH and Vanwall Vandervell 680, which is also non-hybrid, at 1030kg.

In between these two, the Cadillac V-Series.R will weigh 1038kg, the Porsche 963 1048kg, the Peugeot 9X8 1049kg, and the Ferrari 499P 1057kg.

In terms of power, as well as being the lightest, the Glickenhaus will also have the most power, at 520kW, or 697hp. The least powerful car will be the Vanwall, at 685hp.

The hybrids will vary in power from the Cadillac, at 688hp, to the Peugeot, at 694hp. The Ferrari will have 690hp, with the Porsche and Toyota both on 693hp.

The three hybrid LMH-rules cars in the field — Toyota, Peugeot, and Ferrari — have four-wheel drive hybrid. The Ferrari and Toyota will be able to deploy this at 190kph, while the Peugeot will be able to deploy 40kph earlier, at 150kph.

Finally, the car able to use the most energy — fuel or electricity — over a single stint will be the Toyota, at 913MJ. The Porsche is one down on 912MJ, with the Glickenhaus one below that at 911MJ. The Ferrari will be using 908MJ every stint, while the Cadillac will be on 905MJ and the Vanwall the lowest, on 900MJ.

Following on from Sebring, the Ferrari and Toyota will be able to run 19kg and 17kg lighter. The Peugeot will lose 7kg while the Porsche and Cadillac will lose 3kg each. The non-hybrid LMHs from Vanwall and Glickenhaus will run at the same weight for Portimao, Spa and Le Mans.

Additionally, after Sebring, the Ferrari will lose 8hp and the Toyota 7hp.

The ACO has also set the GTE-Am BoP for Sebring. The Aston Martin Vantage AMR will be by far the lightest of the four cars in the class, weighing in at 1245kg. The next heaviest car is the Ferrari 488 GTE EVO, at 1263kg, a whole 18kg heavier than the Aston Martin. The Corvette C8.R, competing in GTE-Am for the first time, will tip the scales at 1295kg, while the Porsche 911 RSR-19 will weigh 1269kg.
